Spark Plugs
Removal and Installation
1. Disconnect ignition wires from spark plugs (12405) as outlined.
2. Loosen spark plugs one quarter turn and use compressed air to remove any dirt or foreign material from spark plug areas of cylinder heads (6049).
3. Remove spark plugs.
NOTE: Refer to the Spark Plug Inspection Chart to determine the condition of the spark plugs.
4. Check and adjust spark plug gap as outlined.
5. To install, reverse Removal procedure. Tighten spark plugs to 9-20 Nm (7-15 lb-ft).
