COOLING SYSTEM - RADIATOR
All Models
77. REMOVE AND REINSTALL. To remove the radiator, drain cooling system and disconnect front wiring harness. Remove hood, side panels and grille.
Disconnect and remove air intake duct. Unbolt and remove air cleaner and ether injector system. Unbolt and move air conditioning condenser, if so equipped, rearward and lay on engine. It is not necessary to disconnect the air conditioner lines from the condenser.
Identify hydraulic oil cooler lines, disconnect lines and remove oil cooler. Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses. Attach a hoist to radiator supports and unbolt supports from front support. Slide radiator assembly forward so that shroud will clear fan as the assembly is removed. Unbolt and remove upper air baffle, fan shroud and coolant recovery
tank. Unbolt and remove radiator from supports.
Reinstall by reversing the removal procedure.
Make certain that all foam rubber seals and pads are correctly installed in their original positions. Refill radiator with coolant. On Model 5120 equipped with aftercooler, open bleed valve on aftercooler to remove air trapped in aftercooler. Coolant capacity is 17.6
liters (18 U.S. qt. ) for Model 5120 tractors and 20.8 liters (22 U.S. qt.) for Models 5130 and 5140. On Model 5120 with aftercooler, coolant capacity is 19.2 liters (20 U.S. qt.). A 105 kPa (15 psi) radiator cap is used on all models.
