ENGINE COVER REPLACEMENT

1. Remove the 2 engine cover fasteners.
2. Remove the 2 engine cover plastic retainers.
3. Remove the engine cover (1) from the engine.
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

1. Position the engine cover (1) to the engine.
2. Install the 2 engine cover fasteners.
Tighten: Tighten the engine cover fasteners to 7 N.m (62 lb in).
3. Install the 2 engine cover plastic retainers.

1. Unclip the engine block heater harness plug bundle from the air inlet attachment flange.

2. Detach the engine block heater harness retainer from the engine harness

3. Disengage the engine block heater element retaining clip from the engine block and remove the engine block heater assembly (1).
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE

NOTE: Visually inspect that the engine block heater harness plug (1) is fully seated onto the element. Ensure the heating element is fully inserted into the engine block and the retaining clip is engaged. An audible click will be heard when clip is locked in position.
1. Completely insert the engine block heater element into the engine block cavity in the nine o'clock position.
