5.2.3 ASSEMBLY
(1) General precautions
1) Repair those parts damaged after disassembly and prepare replacement parts before hands.
2) Clean all parts thoroughly in cleaning oil and dry them with jet air.
3) Always coat the moving parts with clean hydraulic oil, before assembly.
4) Replace such seals as 0 ring and oil seal in principle.
5) Tighten socket bolts and plugs to specified torques, using a torque wrench.
(2) Assembly procedure
The figures in parentheses after part names in this manual represent those item numbers in the Fig. 5-1 and Fig. 5-2.
1) Assemble snap ring (432) and bearing spacer (106) into drive shaft (101). Heat the inner race of roller bearing ( 443) to 100- 120 oC (212-248°F) and put it into the shaft. Then insert bearing spacer (106) and place snap ring (432).
- Assemble the round corner side of the bearing into the bearing spacer (106) side.
2) Heat the inner race of roller bearing (444) to 100-120oC (212-248°F), put it into drive shaft (101), and fit snap ring (433).
- Assemble the round corner side of the bearing into the bearing spacer (106).
3) Insert drive shaft (101) fitted with roller bearing (443) into casing (301) so the output shaft directed upwards. Put a copper rod against the outer race of roller bearing (443), tap it with a hammer and assemble it in place.
- Tap the outer surface of the outer race evenly all round till it stops at the terraced part of the casing.
4) Insert oil seal (491) into front cover (304), using the jig. Fit 0 ring (471) to casing (301)
and assemble front cover (304) to casing (301) by tapping it with a plastic hammer.
5) Place snap ring (437) into casing (301), using pliers.
6) Place casing (301) level and insert shoe plate (124) into it.
- Assemble the larger chamfered part of shoe plate (124) into the casing side.
7) Insert push rod (116) into cylinder block (111). Then place spherical bushing (113) with spacer F (117) on the cylinder, and place piston (121) and shoe (122) onto set plate (123).
8) Assemble piston (121) and shoe (122) fixed in set plate (123) into cylinder block (111). Align them with the spline of drive shaft (101) and put it in.
