The fuel system is comprised of steel petrol tank, from which fuel is fed by the four Mikuni VM24SS carburetors. The tap has 3 position, giving a normal supply of petrol, an emergency reserve position and an off position. A gauze strainer is incorporated in the tap, to trap any foreign matter which might otherwise block the carburetor jets. The petrol tank filler cap is of the quick-action type, incorporating a lock operated by the ignition key.
