2001-2006 SUSPENSION Wheels, Chassis Alignment Check - Retrofitting & Conversion - 203 Chassis
1. Edge horizontal sheet metal flange for securing rear apron in rear wheel houses 90° upwards up to approx. 20 mm in front of mounting screw in accordance with bending line (A). Grind off upper edge of rear apron and its reinforcement in this area.
2. Check clearance between the tire and body when the rear axle is in the full bump position (at least 7mm).
Use a plastic mallet to avoid damaging paint.
Carefully heat outer edges of fender to max. 70 to 80 °C using a hot air blower.
No not overheat paint when heating up (maximum 80 °C). Repair any damage to the paint.
3. Re-treat the wheel housings with underfloor protection and spray the turned down sheet metal flange with cavity preservation.

Only with 8.5Jx17 H2 ET 30 with tires 245/40 R 17.
1. Fold horizontal sheet metal flange for securing rear apron in rear wheel houses 80° upwards up to approx.
20 mm in front of mounting screw in accordance with bending line (A).
2. Grind off upper edge of rear apron and its reinforcement in this area.
Use a plastic mallet to avoid damaging paint.
Carefully heat outer edges of fender to max. 70 - 80 °C using a hot air blower.
Do not overheat paint when warming edges of fender (max. 80 °C).
Repair any damage to the paint.
3. Post-preserve wheel houses with underfloor protection and spray adjusted sheet metal flange with bodycavity protection.
4. Check clearance between tires and body with fully compressed suspension.

Model 203.2 with 8.5Jx18 EH2 ET 30 with 255/35 R 18 tires.
1. Flange the raised edge of the fender in the marked area (A) completely in several stages up to the inside of the fender.
Use a plastic mallet to avoid damaging paint.
Carefully heat outer edges of fender to max. 70 to 80 °C using a hot air blower.
No not overheat paint when heating up (maximum 80 °C).
Repair any damage to the paint.
2. Re-treat the wheel housings with underfloor protection and spray the turned down fender edges with cavity preservation.
