Electrical system
Testing stroke sensor for angle cylinder
- Since checking procedures of stroke sensor for angle cylinder is the same as that of stroke sensor for lift cylinder, see "Testing stroke sensor for lift cylinder".
- When checking stroke sensor for angle cylinder, adjust the pitch rod position to the standard length. For adjusting procedure, see Operation and Maintenance Manual "ADJUST ANGLE OF BLADE EDGE".
- Measure the stroke of angle cylinder with monitoring code: 74000 "Angle Cyl. LH Stroke".
Testing and adjusting reset sensor for lift cylinder
When any of reset sensor or stroke sensing lift cylinder is replaced, be sure to perform "Testing and adjusting reset sensor" for each sensor.
- Place the machine on a level ground, lower the work equipment to the ground, stop the engine, and set the parking brake lever and work equipment lock lever to LOCK position.
- Since operation of work equipment is required during checking and adjusting, secure the safety around the machine by roping in the machine before starting the work.
Testing
- Measure the cylinder stroke with "Monitoring" screen in service mode of the machine monitor.
1. Turn the starting switch to ON position and set machine monitor to "Monitoring/Pre-defined" (16/16) or "Monitoring" in service mode.

2. Start the engine and turn control box power ON.
3. Perform "Testing stroke sensor".

4. Perform "Stroke end reset" of cylinder.

5. Repeat extending and retracting the cylinder just before its stroke end for 10 times.
- Operation range of lift cylinder
Extending: Ground
Retracting: Just before blade max. raising position
- If extending and retracting the cylinder to the stroke end, repeat the work from step 4 again.
6. Perform "Stroke end reset" of cylinder again and read the displayed stroke value on machine monitor immediately after (before resetting / less than 2 seconds) cylinder is operated at stroke end.

Adjusting
- Adjust the cylinder reset sensor according to "Adjustment ID: 8040 (CYLINDER CALIBRATION MODE)".
