Open the rear door.
NOTE: When removing the left side cylinder the battery will need to be removed to gain access to the lower retaining bolt and nut.
Remove the battery. (See Removal And Installation on Page 60-20-1.)

Remove the bolt and nut (Item 1) [Figure 20-20-9] from the pin on the base end of the cylinder.
Installation: Tighten the bolt and nut to 48 - 54 N•m (35 - 40 ft-lb) torque.
