Remove the plug (Item 1) [Figure 20-100-14] from the speed control valve.
Installation: Tighten the plug to 29.5 ft.-lbs. (40 Nm) torque.

Remove the spring (Item 1) [Figure 20-100-15], the ball (Item 2) [Figure 20-100-15] and ball seat/orifice (Item 3)
[Figure 20-100-15].
Check the O-rings (Item 4) [Figure 20-100-15] and replace as needed.
NOTE: The ball seat/orifice (Item 3) [Figure 20-100-15] and O-ring (Item 4) [Figure 20-100-15] must be installed with the O-ring facing the inside of the speed control valve.
NOTE: The spring, ball and ball seat/orifice can only be replaced as an assembly.
