Drive Pinion Flange and Drive Pinion Seal
Removal
1. Position the vehicle on a hoist. For additional information, refer to Section 100-02.
NOTE: The rear wheels and brake drums must be removed to prevent brake drag during drive pinion bearing preload adjustment.
2. Remove the wheel and tire assembly. For additional information, refer to Section 204-04.
3. Remove the rear brake drums. For additional information, refer to Section 206-02 .
4. Mark the driveshaft flange and pinion flange for correct alignment during installation.
