Check the continuity between the “S” terminal (Item 1) and the positive (+) terminal on the battery or starter terminal (Item 2) [Figure 50-30-6]. There should be continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the wire harness.
If the voltage is still above 14.7 volts at 21°C (70°F) (alternator temperature), then remove the alternator for replacement or repair.
